Founded in 2005, Pronghorn Los Angeles started in drummer Devin McGee’s living room in Wilmington, North Carolina with vocalist and rhythm guitar player Justin Colvin. The founding members moved to Los Angeles in 2007. Lead guitarist Nima joined the band and added to the band’s psychedelic origins. New bass player Doug Evans joined in 2024 to round out the band’s eclectic Desert Rock sound.
